It’s coming to Queenstown on Friday the 24th of June 2011 and will end on Sunday the 3rd of July 2011.

Taking place at the Christchurch Convention Centre, over 400 delegates from TOP 10 Holiday Parks (NZ), BIG4 (Australia) and KOA Camping (Kampgrounds of America) have come together to discuss issues pertaining to being a successful holiday park, the sharing of innovation and technology, as well as marketing ideas and strategies make this a valuable and interactive conference for people associated with holiday parks.

John McCann, General Manager of TOP 10 Holiday Parks says “It is an extraordinary opportunity for our New Zealand holiday park operators to learn about the technologies, marketing and customer experiences of these international parks. Our goal of excellence in park operation will only be enhanced by this experience.”

As well as being the first conference of its kind in the history of these international tourism bodies, there has also been a huge outpouring of funds to charity The Clown Doctors. The Clown Doctors treat children in hospital with medicine of a different kind – with doses of fun and laughter! By parodying the hospital routine, the Clown Doctors help children, and their families, feel less traumatized my medical procedures. Over $130,000 was raised at the event.

Following on the heels of a strong showing at the Tourism Industry awards with the Kennedy TOP 10 Resort in Napier winning the Holiday Park award as well as Waihi Beach TOP 10 Holiday Resort being in the finalist category, TOP 10 Holiday Parks is riding a wave of success and industry recognition. Kenneth

Kenneth is the owner and manager of the park and has lived here for 5 years. He has a broad business knowledge due to his previous occupations and he has done a fantastic job over the years to develop the park facilitites to todays standard. But his creativity is still not utilized. The future challenge is to raise the location to the full potential to attract a broader customer range. 

Sandra  

Sandra is Kenneth’s wife and she put her heart and soul in developing a clean reputation for the park. She has maintained a high standard over the years. Sandra is responsible for choosing the furniture and dressing out the units to give the park its homely feel.

Catherine

Our sunshine woman from good old England. Catherine has been part of the team for 3 years and she is Kenneths second pair of hands as well as the supervisor for all our interns.  She has a very patient nature and Catherine always has a smile for you!
